Enrolment Requirements
To be accepted on an English Language Course at Waterloo
School of English, you must fulfil the following requirements:
- You must be 16 years of age or older when
you start the course.
- You must have a valid visa
to study in the UK.
- You must be able to afford tuition
fees and living costs (accommodation and living
expenses, including
course material and external exam fees) for the
length of the course.
INFORMATION FOR VISA NATIONAL STUDENTS
- Any visa national student coming to the UK to study for more than six months after April 1st 2009 will require a visa letter from the School
- You need to scan in and e-mail us a copy of your passport and personal details before we can issue the visa letter
- We need to see any attendance certificate as evidence that you have previously studied English for a number of years as students with no previous knowledge of English will not receive student visas
- Any IELTS, KET, PET or other external English language qualification needs to be seen by the School
- Any college or university qualification or other evidence needs to be seen by the School
- Any reference from a qualified tutor, stating the student’s level of English must be made available to the School on headed notepaper, including the full details of the referee
- If you cannot provide evidence of your level of English, you will be required to do the School’s online test
- We will not offer a course of study to someone without the minimum level of English of CEFR A2.
